Betty Munoz has over 30 years of experience in the Human Resources field. She joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts in August 2002 and spent 20 years working in Arizona, she was part of the opening team for the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa and worked for the historical Wigwam Resort & Spa in Litchfield Park, AZ. Betty relocated to San Antonio, Texas in August of 2015 and joined the Westin Riverwalk Hotel, where she was part of the merger with Marriott Hotels & Resorts & Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Betty transferred to the JW Marriott San Antonio as Director of Human Resources in June 2018 and has been in her role since then. Betty currently serves as a Board Member for the San Antonio Alamo Workforce Solutions and previously volunteered with the AZ Attorney General as a Mediator for Human Rights Cases and Civil Cases, she was President of the Human Resources Hospitality Association and volunteered for various community agencies, including UMOM, JDRF, and the Cancer Society

Betty has a Master of Science in Psychology, with an Emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from HRCI and SHRM. She’s active an active member of the National Society of Human Resources Management.
Betty enjoys spending time with her husband and children, grandson and her German Shepherd at every available opportunity, Betty loves participating in triathlon races, she loves swimming, biking, running and hiking.
