Qualifications: Requires graduation from an accredited four year college or university with at least three years of experience in planning and/or research, preferably in the workforce system or economic development. At least two years supervisory experience preferred. To succeed, the candidate should have knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, rules, regulations, and policies applicable to workforce development programs; knowledge of one-stop center operations; knowledge of planning and programming methodologies; knowledge of the regional labor market and economic development; extensive experience in research, collection, analysis, and synthesis of data, with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products and LMI software and research tools. Also required are effective communication, both written and oral, highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to speak effectively before groups

Job Description: Performs program management, planning, Labor Market Information (LMI) research and grant writing. Manages the development of strategic and operational plans for the Alamo workforce and economic region; initiates, updates, and amends the plans; reviews funding applications and requests; reviews proposals; prepares and disseminates demographics and LMI; researches and writes grants to supplement and diversify agency funding; networks within the community; and prepares and presents material to various groups. May supervise department employees.
